Top Skater is the first high tech realistic skateboard simulator with full body racing action!
The arcade game Top Skater was released in 1997 by Sega and this worked on the Sega Model 2 hardware. This was the first game which had a skateboard controller interface which worked with it.
In this game, the players stand on a platform which is very like a skateboard and it can be swung either from side to side or else it can be tilted. As the players move, the actions of the avatars move accordingly. Post this game, there were other games made for other kinds of sports in the similar genre.
The Top Skater game has different kinds of rails, ramps as well as skating objects. If the skater uses these for tricks which he or she performs, there are extra points he or she can gain.
This game can have just one player at a time who can play the game and there are buttons which are the left and right selectors. The cabinet is a standard upright cabinet and the video is a raster video with resolution which is medium. There is also a projection TV of 50” which can be used in it.
There are various soundtracks of the game and these are songs are sung by Pennywise the punk rock band. Some of the songs which accompany this game is Society, Wouldn’t it be nice, homesick, dying to know, Peaceful day and trying to conform as well as other songs.
